This motif is made with jasmine stitch. The Jasmine stitch is a unique stitch that is made up entirely of a mix of “puff stitch together”.
It’s not difficult, but even if you’re at an intermediate level it will take some practice to get the hang of.

The pattern is made in a round with the right side facing you throughout.

Just like regular granny squares, you can transform them into various things by piecing them together.
Create unique patterns by sewing in different directions or mixing with other patterns.
