This pattern provides instructions for a baby’s coat, top and hats, knitted in King Cole Baby Safe DK yarn.

24 stitches and 24 rows to 10cm (4”) over Bramble stitch and Blackberry stitch on 4mm needles. 24 stitches and 28 rows to 10cm (4”) over rib on 4mm needles or the size required to give the correct tension. Check your tension – if less stitches use thinner needles if more use thicker needles.

To fit chest:
(Premature: 31cm / 12”), (0-3 months: 36cm / 14”), (3-6 months: 41cm / 16”), (6-9 months: 46cm / 18”), (9-12 months: 51cm / 20”).
