Inspired by Jasper Johns’s paintings and originally created as a mystery knitalong with Dragonfly Fibers, 5 is a large rectangular shawl, knit modularly in one piece. It uses approximately 250 yards of each of 5 colors. You can purchase kits from Dragonfly here.
This is an adventurous beginner project. Techniques include picking up stitches, slipped stitch patterns, and eyelet patterns. You will never use more than one color per round, and there will be no complicated charts. All stitch patterns will be both written and charted.
