Balaclava
This remake of the balaclava that appeared on the cover of the Fall/Winter 1955 Vogue Knitting Book does the original one better, knit in Jade Sapphire Exotic Fibres’ ultra-luxurious Mongolian Cashmere 2-ply. The snug hood is begun in the round at the lower edge in a k4, p2 rib that is decreased gradually to a k2, p2 rib before switching to a smaller needle for a tighter rib. Te piece is split for the neck opening and hood; single crochet finishes the face-framing opening.
