6 Face Cloth Designs
Lovely gift for friends and family, There are 6 patterns included. Two are on the easy side, two are a littler more of a challenge and two will give you some food for thought. One unique stitch in the Twisted Cable design, not hard but you will have to look under “Abbreviations” to see how to do it. I will give you a clue, the abbreviation is SK2P.
NOTE There are a few corrections on this pattern, I have corrected the first 5. One more to check. To see the corrections, go to the website “StitchNiche.com and click on the “Pattern Corrections” tab. As soon as the finale corrections are done, a new corrected pattern will be sent to those who have purchased this pattern.
The overall size can vary from pattern to pattern. But the average size is 10” x 10”. You can make them smaller by casting on less and work less pattern repeats or larger in reverse.
All 6 designs have taken me between 97 and 99 yards each. I didn’t change the overall size, they are all set for 10” square. I like both the Berroco Corsica and the Kraemer Tatamy DK Yarns. But any soft yarn that has cotton in it will give a nice finish. In most yarns 1 ball will be enough to make them on a size 6 needle. I use a 10” needle. Longer ones just seem to get in the way for me. I haven’t tried making them in a tweed, strip, variegated or self striping yarn. I always feel the busier the yarn the less you see the lace work.
Once you start making the face cloths, it would take you long to make your own designs to fit inside the borders.
