The body suit is knit starting at front neckline, knit down to the crotch, then back up to the shoulders. Then the side seams are sewn up and it is fastened at the shoulders by little loops around the tiny buttons. One side can be left buttoned and it will slip on.
Takes very little yarn but I did not measure.
