Gomitolo DiPinto is one of the new versions in the Gomitolo family of yarns. Gomitolo means “ball” in Italian and this is one big ball of yarn. 770yds are in one ball and this project takes only 1. Stitches are cast on and worked in an Eyelet St. After a short distance, 1 pattern repeat is cast off at the beginning of the row and one additional pattern stitch repeat is added at the end. This creates a wonderful stair step design that appears to be knit on the bias. The yarn has a diverse set of color variations with short and long stripes.
