The body is worked in stripes from the bottom up. The yarns are alternated in stripes and each stripe segment is decreased around so that the body takes a flared shape. When done, the body edges are folded and tacked to create a place for the arm to pass through. Stitches are picked up around the neck to create a collar. Leave it all open and it remains an open shoulder cape.
