Pattern Description Setesdal represents Norway’s most traditional design of the 19th century. The name originates in the beautiful Setesdalen valley and is part of the traditional costume of this region. Also one of Norway’s most famous designs, it has been used many times in patterns other than Dale’s Setesdal Cardigan. Our baby Setesdal includes a boatneck pullover, cardigan, pants, cap and mittens. Truly a timeless design right for all occasions.
There is also an adult & children’s version of the Setesdal sweater. This sweater was the OL-Genseren (Olympic Sweater) for the 1988 Winter Games in Calgary. It is knit out of heavier sport/dk weight yarn.
