This is a pattern that works best for those two lonely skeins of beautiful yarn that look nice together but are not, on their own, enough for a scarf.

I knit this out of two skeins of Jojoland Rhythm and one skein of Jojoland Splatter Dash, in colors that played nicely together. It works best when there is some interest in the yarn that you knit the “short” rows out of: the Rhythm has a long gentle color change, for example, where the Splatter Dash is all over variegated.

The techniques in this pattern segue well into the techniques used to knit my wrap, Up The Ladder (To The Roof). I consider them part of the same series.
