This cosy two-toned lace and striped garter stitch cowl is designed for Worsted and DK weight yarns. It is a quick knit with a very easy lace pattern feature. It is worked flat, and on the bias and joined at the end with a 3 needle bind off. Instructions are written for both a 100g and a 200g version with notes provided for easy customisation.

Yarn
Long cowl: 200g DK or Worsted yarn split into 2 colours (100g each)
Short cowl: 100g DK or Worsted yarn split into 2 colours (25g C1/75g C2)

Long Sample used:
C1: 100g Malabrigo Yarn Rios col. 886 Diana.
C2: 100g Malabrigo Yarn Rios col. 030 Purple Mystery.

Size (without blocking)
Circumference: 79cm (31”) 100g version, 158cm (62”) 200g version.
Width: 18cm (7”) both versions (measured straight across and not on the diagonal).

Tension/Gauge
Approx. 18 sts 10cm (4”) on 5mm (US 8) needles over garter stitch without blocking.
