An Outlander Inspired Capelet that’s sure to keep the chill out!

The yarn is held double and worked in the round ending with a mesh collar for contrast. The piece is then machine felted and then left to air dry.

For a more fitted item, cast on less stitches. For a longer piece, continue to add 4 inches to body.

You will need circular needles in US #13 and #15, stitch markers, and a tapestry needle. Plus a washing machine to do the felting for you!

The yarn pictured is Patons Classic Wool, Worsted Weight in WIsteria. Patons Wool Roving will work, but you wouldn’t have to double the yarn. I haven’t tested it, so I don’t know how much yardage you would need if you choose roving.
