A Cardigan and Jumper Combined
Short sleeved, with a neat Peter Pan collar, the garment could be worn with or without a blouse beneath, and would look equally attractive. It has a slimming effect, too, with the vertical lines of cable pattern forming stripes on the plain background of knitting.
It is a lightweight garment, being made from five ounces of Paton’s two ply Beehive fingering. Needles needed are one pair each of No. 10 and No 12, and a spare needle pointed at both ends. Eight buttons are used to fasten the cardigan, which will fit a 32 to 33 inch bust.
The tension should be such that the widest part of the cable patted out flat measures one inch.
