This cowl was designed to highlight the Chinese’s symbols of language, like art. This cowl showcases the Symbol of Health. In Chinese culture, warmth aids in staying healthy, so what an artistic, colorful way of staying warm!

This pattern was designed with worsted weight yarn, and to fit a little tighter so it can stay up over the lower part of your face, if necessary. It is easily adjustable by adding/removing stitches on either side of the symbol so to size it tighter or looser around the face as desired. The pattern is both written and charted, for advanced beginners to more experienced knitters. Simply calculate the number of stitches per inch from your gauge swatch and add/remove the number of stitches accordingly.

Make several in different color combinations, for yourself or give them away as gifts. It’s a fun knit so grab your needles, your favorite fingering weight yarn and your two-color combo, and a beverage, and enjoy your knitting journey!
