“ “These winter winds are terribly cold,” said Paris Doll. “My hands are
frozen and I can feel shivers running up and down my spine.” “Dear me, you should not come out without a warm tippet and muff,” cried Lady Betty. “I shall crochet one for you. What colour would you like?” Paris Doll chose soft dove grey, and Lady Betty said she would use blue silk for the lining. Then she wrapped Paris Doll up in her warm coat to go home.
Lady Betty got some two-ply wool and a bone crochet hook. Here is her pattern for making the tippet.“
