A one skein shawlette perfect for Noro, colourful sock yarn, or your hand spun, this design incorporates some careful shaping at the top so that it will sit nicely on your shoulders, then moves into graceful curves that show off the colours in your yarn.

It is very modular – make it larger by simply working some or all of the sections longer than the pattern suggests. If you think you might be short on yarn, skip the second section entirely and go directly to the third after the stockinette shaping triangles are complete. Change the size of the picots in the bind off for even more variety. Instructions are included for these variations.

This is a super easy knit: if you can cast on, knit in stockinette, do yarn overs and knit two together, then you can do this.

The blue/silver/brown/teal striped shawl is done in one skein of Noro Silk Garden Sock, the deeper blues/burgundies made by MullersLaneFarm is one skein of Zauberball; the beige/pinks/greens is a hand-dyed mystery skein (Patons Classic, maybe?) from the stash in worsted weight. The variegated blue was knit by HT’s RootsAndWings from about 200 yards of Atacama 100% alpaca, hand dyed in shades of indigo.
