My original was machine washed and machine dried by accident, which I liked better. The fabric is denser, and the purled diamond pattern really pops. If you decide follow my rebellious example, do one more pattern repetition before the garter stitch border at the top.
This is a flat lattice pattern, which involves a little counting. But, remember, this is only a placemat, so it is a good place to make a mistake. Your dishes will cover up any boo-boo you make. Don’t sweat it!
Have fun trying out the new summer cotton yarns!
