A Dragonfly In Amber
A Dragonfly In Amber Cowl
The cowl is worked flat using a skein of hand dyed DK yarn, using knit and purl stitches creating a dragonfly suspended in the stitches for the front of the cowl.
The pattern is written row by row with no chart.
Its suitable for a beginner who knows the basic skills and provides a piece of work with Outlander interest.
The cowl is completely reversible depending on which image of the dragonfly you prefer.
The photos here in the pattern show both sides of the work, and also allow the dragonfly to be seen worked on both variegated and plain yarn.
I have used a skein of 200m but it can easily be made a little larger if your skein is longer in length. Details of the finished size are included in the epilogue of the pattern.
