A Little Help From My Friends
This is a crescent shaped shawl, worked from the bottom up. The bottom edge is a beaded lace pattern. The body is stockinette short rows that are super simple - no wraps to worry about.
The lace edging pattern is both charted and written out.
The pattern includes instructions for placing beads on different types of stitches.
This design has had an interesting journey. It started as a potential fundraiser for a breast cancer charity (to help some friends), but that didn’t work out. (The name was inspired by that.) I scrapped my first plan for the beading after showing it to some more knowledgeable knitters. (Thereby getting help from my friends.) Then the pandemic stalled the final pattern prep and cancelled the festival it was supposed to debut at.
I’d still love it if this pattern could provide some help somehow. If you enjoy it, please consider making a donation your preferred cancer charity. For the month of July 2020, I will donate the profits from sales of this pattern to Knitted Knockers Support Foundation in memory of a dear friend who was unable to see this completed.
1 Aug 2020 update: Thank you! Your purchases funded a $42 donation to the Knitted Knockers Support Foundation.
