Skill Level ~

Advanced beginner. There are written, picture and video tutorials to ensure success every step of the way.

Method ~

The headband is knitted from the bottom up using two colours and the mosaic knitting method. It also provides instructions for Latvian braid or garter edges and for turning the headband into a brim beanie. Additionally, it offers suggestions for sizes ranging from newborn to child. The pattern includes helpful tips throughout.

Approximately 21.5 cm/8.5” wide by 21.5 cm/8.5” tall to fit adult size 56 cm/22” - 61 cm/54” head circumference.

Gauge ~

Gauge is given in pattern and knitted in the round using the recommended needle size for each yarn weight. Measurements should be taken unstretched and unblocked.

Aran/Worsted ~ 28 sts and 27 rnds = 10 cm x 10 cm/4” x 4”. WPI - 11
Light Chunky ~ 16 sts and 22 rnds = 10 cm x 10 cm/4” x 4”. WPI - 10
