A Piece of Cake Dishcloth
My dishcloth measures 9 1/2”W x 9 1/4”H and weighs 47 gr.
Inspired by an electronic birthday card that Tunie (Peacockmom on Ravelry) sent to me, this dishcloth came to be. She said that it was a ‘piece of cake’ to knit when I sent her the pattern to test knit, but it took me a long, long time to try and figure out how to do the candle. No ‘piece of cake’, as I thought it might be.
The stitches needed for creating this dishcloth are basic … cast on, knit, purl and cast off. Please be certain to use a size or two smaller needles than you would usually use for this weight of yarn. Doing so will help your picture ‘pop’ and show more definition.
As always, many thanks to Tunie for test knitting for me and for her boundless enthusiasm for the craft of knitting. She is a gem!
Happy knitting!!
