This cute little pirate-themed beanie is the perfect finish for every doll who wants to stay warm during the colder time of year. Your doll will definitely make a fashion statement.

This beanie will make a nice set together with the pirate-themed jacket I made. You can see both of them together in the pictures on the left.

I believe a very confident beginner knitter will be able to accomplish this project, as long as you are familiar with colorwork, and know how to switch from one yarn to another properly. If you’re not experienced with this, please look up a tutorial.

The beanie is meant to fit an 18-inch American Girl doll, as shown in the pictures. However, they will also fit similar dolls, such as Our Generation, My Life As, and others. I added a sizing chart to the pictures, to help you compare your dolls to the American Girl dolls.

The pdf file includes the written instructions, as well as a graph to guide you through the pattern.

For this pattern I used:

~ Mainstays 100% Acrylic yarn, 4-medium in the colors Black, Red, and White, but you can use any other 4-medium worsted weight yarn you choose.

~ Knitting needles size: US 8 - 5.00 mm
