This pillow is meant to be for 18-inch dolls, such as American Girl, Our Generation, My Life As, and others. I also have a blanket that goes really well with it, so please click on the link if you would like to check it out.

Most of the pillow is knitted, but it has a crocheted border.

It’s a good project for a beginner knitter, as long as you are familiar with colorwork, and know how to switch from one yarn to another properly. If you’re not experienced with this, please look up a tutorial.

The pdf file includes the written instructions, as well as a graph to guide you through the pattern.

For this pattern I used:

~ Mainstays 100% Acrylic yarn, 4-medium in the colors Black, Red, and White

You can use any other 4-medium worsted weight yarn you choose.

~ Knitting needles, size: US 8 - 5.00 mm

~ Crochet hook, size: I - 5.5 mm
