This was so fun to make and it is fast!!! In just a couple of hours you have a hat! The huge pompom makes the hat -- although it is cute even without it.

If you skip the pompom you can make it with one skein of Rasta. I did make one version with only one skein and the pompom is a bit weak but is doable. Really, three skeins of yarn makes two fabulous hats.

This is not an easy pattern to change sizes. The twisted rib allows the hat to keep its shape but still be quite elastic. You should take the time to check gauge and change needles as necessary.
