This basic potato knits up very quickly and is scaled to compliment the rest of my veggie designs. The instructions are for knitting flat, although knitting in the round is preferable to eliminate most of the seaming. The finished object measures about 3” in length when knitting with Aran or Bulky weight yarn on size US 6 (4.00 mm) needles.

MATERIALS:
2g Brown Aran or Bulky Wt. Yarn
Small amt. Dark Brown yarn (opt.)
Poly-fill stuffing

NOTIONS:
Pair US 6 / 4.00 mm knitting needles
Long Sewing Needle

GAUGE:
Different size needles and yarn can be substituted. Gauge is not important so long as the needles are smaller than specified for the weight of the selected yarn. The fabric should knit up pretty tightly to prevent white stuffing from showing through the work.
