In summer 2020 I discovered running for myself. Nothing better than walking through the forest and hearing, seeing, and feeling nothing else than the forest and myself. Since I’m not a fan of always buying the hottest things for everything, I took my clothes that I had in my closet anyway.
Among other things, it was a shirt made of pure silk that I had just knitted myself from Seda Encantada. And what can I say, this material convinced me once more, because only silk can do, what silk can do….
So I really wanted to have a long-sleeved shirt for cooler days.
… and so the idea for the runner’s shirt was born.
It should be functional, have long sleeves and sit on the figure. No unnecessary frills, everything kept nice and simple.

Knitted items made of silk tend to follow their own rules. Trying it on while the work is not finished is rather pointless. It is more important to have an exact gauge, on which everything is calculated. After completion, the shirt is guaranteed to be too small, especially too short. But that comes into play as soon as you have washed it once, straightened it and dried it lying flat.
The shirt should fit close to the figure, so I recommend choosing a size that differs no more than 3 cm from your own size in the chest circumference.
I am describing the sizes S (M, L, XL, XXL) for a chest circumference of approx. 86cm (92cm, 100cm, 108cm, 116cm)

Seda Encantada:

Seda Encantada is a very special yarn. If you take a closer look at your skein, you will find that it is made up of two sub-skeins. One of the two skeins is twisted to the right, the other to the left. Individually knitted, the stitches are biasing. If you hold one thresad oft he both skeins together for knitting, the “shadow color” results in a wonderful melange effect.
Both processing methods are used in our shirt. Wide strips of single thread are separated by a single row strip of double thread. So that everything is nicely balanced again, the single-threaded stripes are knitted alternately with a thread that is twisted on the right and one that is twisted on the left.

You will need 3 Sets of Seda Encantada for sizes S to XL. Size XXL will need 4 skeins. Wether you want to use only one colourway or completely different skeins is up to you.

Im Sommer 2020 entdeckte ich für mich das Laufen. Nichts Schöneres, als durch den Wald zu laufen und dabei nichts anderes mehr zu hören, sehen, fühlen, als den Wald und mich selbst. Da ich kein Fan davon bin, für alles immer gleich die angesagtesten Dinge neu zu kaufen, zog ich die Kleidung an, die sich ohnehin in meinem Schrank fand.
Unter anderem war das ein Shirt aus reiner Seide, welches ich mir gerade aus Seda Encantada gestrickt hatte. Und was soll ich sagen, dieses Material überzeugte mich einmal mehr, denn das, was Seide kann, kann eben nur Seide….
So wollte ich für kühlere Tage unbedingt auch ein langärmeliges Shirt haben.
…und so war die Idee für das runner’s Shirt geboren.
Es sollte funktional sein, lange Ärmel haben und „auf Figur“ sitzen. Kein unnötiger Schnick-Schnack, alles schön schlicht gehalten.

Gestricktes aus Seide folgt gerne eigenen Gesetzen. Eine Anprobe während die Arbeit noch nicht fertig ist, ist eher sinnlos. Wichtiger ist da eine genaue Maschenprobe, auf deren Grundlage alles berechnet wird. Nach der Fertigstellung ist das Shirt garantiert zu klein, vor allem zu kurz. Aber das kommt ins Lot sobald man es einmal gewaschen hat und zurecht gezogen und liegend getrocknet.
Das Shirt soll figurnah sitzen, von daher empfehle ich eine Größe zu wählen, die im Brustumfang höchstens 3 cm von der eigenen Größe abweicht.
Ich beschreibe hier die Größen S (M, L, XL, XXL) für einen Brustumfang von ca. 86cm (92cm, 100cm, 108cm, 116cm)

Seda Encantada:

Die Seda Encantada ist ein ganz besonderes Garn. Wenn Sie Ihren Strang genauer anschauen, werden Sie feststellen, dass er aus zwei Teilsträngen besteht. Einer der beiden Stränge ist nach rechts überzwirnt, der andere nach links. Einzeln verstrickt ziehen sich die Maschen daraus zu einer Seite hin schräg. Verarbeitet man den Faden doppelt, ergibt sich durch die „Schattenfärbung“ beim Verstricken ein wunderbarer Melange Effekt.
In unserem Shirt kommen beide Verarbeitungsweisen zum Einsatz. Breite Streifen mit einfachem Faden werden von einem einreihigen Streifen aus doppeltem Faden getrennt. Damit dann auch wieder alles hübsch ausgeglichen ist, werden die einfädigen Streifen wiederum abwechselnd mit einem rechts überzwirnten und einem links überzwirnten Faden gestrickt.

Für die Größen S bis XL reichen 3 Stränge Seda Encantada aus. Für XXL braucht es dann doch 4.
Ob ihr lieber gleiche Stränge verwendet oder völli verschiedene ist dabei eurem Geschmack überlassen
