The shawl uses only one skein (100 gr) of fingering yarn. Solid or semi solid will show of the lace work the best. The sample is knit in the colourway Copper, hand dyed by Garnbutikken Fortuna.

The finished shawl is 175 cm long and 35 cm wide.

This shawl was designed as an introduction when first trying to knit from written English knitting patterns.
However it is great fun to knit for experienced knitters as well.

The shawl contains repetitions of stockinette sections and garter ridges. The garter ridges frame eight different sections of lace work. Most of the lace work is from the RS only, but a couple are true lace, thus include yarn overs and decreases from the WS as well. The whole pattern is written out, line by line.
