These notes refer to a baby shrug resulting from a set of modifications that I made to Elizabeth Zimmermann’s Baby Surprise Jacket. The following instructions refer to Elizabeth Zimmermann’s original pattern and you will need to follow one of the various versions of it (all available at Schoolhouse Press, see “Bibliography”). This shortened Surprise Jacket uses less yarn than the BSJ, so it is handy in those cases ou do not have enough yarn to complete the original jacket.
