This Doll pattern is easy to adapt in terms of clothing, hairstyle, and accessories.
It is worked in two parts (upper and lower body) that are connected at the waist by simple sewing. The pattern uses 5 yarn colours for a total 81 yards (74 m). It is worked mostly on a 4.00 mm hook, with the occasional use of a 4.50 mm one when doing a round of slip stitches.
In addition to the basic stitches, I have included a technique that has been around, most likely, but that I consider my own learning/discovery experience while perfecting the Doll: making sure that the joining stitches for rounds are not shifting away from a straight seam.
This pattern will invite you to expand your creativity: the shorts can be extended to trousers and the shirt can have long sleeves and extended length. Not to mention hairstyle!
