This is a great beginner pattern.

Gauge is flexible. This basketweave stitch is intended to showcase a special yarn. The yarn used for the sample has been discontinued, but any luxury blend worsted weight would be ideal for this project. It uses less than 200 yards as written.

A second version of the pattern offers a garter stitch option for any worsted weight yarn.
