A Slice of Heaven
This asymmetrical triangle shawl is knit in two colors with a sampler of stitches interspersed between garter stitch sections. It’s a fun, not boring knit. You carry the unused color along the neckline and increase with a new technique. A zigzag border finishes the shawl along the live stitches or can be extended along the side. You’ll need two colors of fingering weight yarn-- at least 400 yards of a main color and 200 yards in a contrasting color for the stitch inserts -- with size 6 or 7 knitting needles. My shawl finished at 64” neckline x 15” deep and blocked to 75” neckline x 18” deep using a nonstandard size 6 (4.25 mm) knitting needle. The 7 page pattern has written instructions only with close up photos of each stitch pattern used in the shawl.
