A Slice of Pie Dishcloth
After seeing my “Piece of Cake” dishcloth design, a friend of mine asked if I had designed one with a slice of pie. I hadn’t even thought of it! Needless to say, she planted a seed, and I wasn’t satisfied until I came up with a design. This dishcloth is for her.
As always, my pattern was enthusiastically test knit by Tunie (peacockmom on Rav). We both share a love of rhubarb pie, and she test knit with a most lovely pink ‘rhubarby colour’ yarn. I love it!! Thanks so much, as always, Tunie, for being so willing to test for me. She is my ‘front man’ for catching errors that get past me.
My finished cloth weighs in at 42 gr. and measures 9 1/2”W x 9”H. This pattern is great for beginners, as knowledge of casting on and off as well as how to knit and purl are the only needed skills.
For best results knitting ‘picture’ dishcloths, use a size or two smaller needle than you usually would for the given yarn, choose a solid colour yarn and block your finished dishcloth.
