I used most of one skein (252 yards or 5 oz/ 142 grams) of “I Love This Yarn” metallic. I prefer circular needles, because they’re lighter, but do not like knitting in the round so this is worked flat. ALWAYS purl last stitch and slip first stitch for a nice clean edge. The front band is cables worked on 20 stitches and is worked separately. Don’t let the cables intimidate you..they are super easy! I used my granddaughter as a model..so hat is fairly large on her:)
