A Study in Scarlet
Starting at the back of the neck, the shawl is worked downward in increasing rows. My model was made using 3 skeins of Malabrigo sock and is 48” wide and 22” deep but it can be made larger by working additional Body rows.
The lace stitch pattern was inspired by a late 19th century doily pattern, and the shawl was designed in honor of Mrs. Hudson, Sherlock Holmes’ long-suffering landlady…
