Did you know you can knit a sweater for a stone or cabochon enabling you to turn it into a piece of wearable jewelry?

Using Viking style wire knitting, this video tutorial pattern shows you how to choose the right cabochon, make a frame to hold your stitches, cast on stitches and knit around the stone, make a pendant bale (two options) and how to finish it off for suspending on a chain or cord.

For this pattern you will need:

16g (9 inches or 20cm - or so) and 26g copper wire (5-10 feet or 150 -300 cm) depending on the style of bale you choose to make)
OR
18g (9 inches or 20cm - or so) and 28g bronze wire (5-10 feet or 150-300 cm) depending on the style of bale you choose to make)

A cabochon about 1 - 1.25 inches (2.5 - 3 cm) in diameter around 3/8 of an inch or 4-5 mm thick

The tutorial includes time stamps for different sections in case you are already experience with Viking style wire knitting and are looking for particular parts of the pattern.
