The design was conceived as a special touch for a Valentine lollipop gift. The lovely lace pattern is a quick project to add some special thought to a small gift. It is designed with a opening in the bottom so the lollipop stick fits through.

Starting with the open loop at the bottom, the rounds are worked up while the heart takes shape and ends with a lacy border edge.
