A Tea Party For Ruby
Ruby Gardiner was the eleventh child, and sixth and last daughter of Samwise and Rosie (née Cotton) Gamgee. She had two younger brothers: Robin and Tolman.
A Tea Party For Ruby is a single breasted, crew-neck, matinee style long-sleeved sweater with an empire waist and lacey skirt. The closer fit and long sleeves of the upper sweater add warmth, while the fullness of the skirt allows for ease over the diaper. The button hole and button bands are worked at the same time as the body of the sweater in garter stitch, with a tidy slipped stitch selvage.
