My gift to you for Thanksgiving 2018 is a free pattern for a crochet cowl or infinity scarf. Thanksgiving is simply a time for us to look at our lives and to be thankful.

And, as we begin the countdown to Christmas and the holidays in December we start thinking of gifts for our loved ones. If you are like me, being a crocheter and a knitter, your mind goes to creating them something beautiful with your own handiwork.

A Thankful Heart is a quick and easy pattern that is great for gifting, and has two size options. You can crochet a cowl or an infinity scarf.

Crocheted from end to end you can decide on the length as you go, and try it on to find the perfect length and fit. The stitch pattern forms rows of waves, that form a vertical rib stitch pattern once it’s seamed with my easy invisible seam instructions.

I used one skein of the pillow-soft Manos Del Uruguay Maxima worsted weight, hand-dyed single-ply yarn (219 yards/skein) in the color “Mosaic” for my cowl. Or, you can use two skeins to crochet an infinity scarf.

I think the day after Thanksgiving is a great day to relax with a thankful heart, enjoy your crochet skills and create a beautiful, warm handmade gift for a loved one.
