This is a companion accessory to A Thousand and One Suns sweater pattern.

Yarn: Sport weight

• Main colour: Spincycle Yarns Wilder (100% American wool, 183 m / 200 yds / 60 g) 183 m / 200 yds
• Contrasting colour: Spincycle Yarns Nocturne (100% Merino wool, 183 m / 200 yds / 55 g) 105 m / 115 yds

Yarns used in sample are 1 skein of Wilder in Light Gray as main colour and 1 skein of Nocturne in Thin Ice as contrasting colour.

Gauge: 22 sts & 28 rows = 10 cm / 4” in colourwork in the round, blocked.

Suggested needles: 3.5 mm (US 4) circulars 60 cm / 24”

Notions: Crochet hook and smooth waste yarn for provisional cast-on, stitch marker, row counter, tapestry needle.

Techniques used: Provisional cast-on, stranded colourwork, knitting in the round, Kitchener stitch.

Difficulty: Intermediate

Notes: The cowl is worked seamlessly in the round to double height, then folded in half lengthwise and the top and bottom grafted together.
