Every Christmas, when I asked my nieces and nephews what kind of knit hat they want, at some point every single one of them has asked for a hat with dinosaurs. Since I couldn’t find a pattern that designed to be knit with aran or worsted weight yarn, I decided to design one! The thick yarn means this hat is fun and quick to knit!

The pattern doesn’t include any repeats, meaning that the hats feature four (toddler sizes)to five (child and adult sizes) separate dinosaurs.

Child and adult hats feature tyrannosaurus rex, stegosaurus, brontosaurus, triceratops, and pterodactyl. Toddler hats feature either stegosaurus, brontosaurus, triceratops, and pterodactyl OR tyrannosaurus rex, brontosaurus, triceratops, and pterodactyl.

The pattern includes all charts for adult, child, and both versions of the toddler hat.

Specific yardage needed for each colour for each hat is given within the pattern.
