A Twist of Love is an overlay mosaic crochet pattern worked in the round (as a tube) and sewn with a twist! The pattern includes instructions for sport-weight and DK-weight yarn, and basic instructions for worsted-weight yarn.

Included in the pattern is a photo tutorial for this style of overlay mosaic crochet. You will also receive a guide to overlay mosaic crochet, as well as a link to a video tutorial on the technique.

Included in the pattern is yardage per yarn weight and instructions for each size. It includes the original pattern PDF, printer-friendly PDF, and a guide to overlay mosaic crochet.

I made two different ear warmers, one with DK weight yarn and one with sport weight yarn. The sport weight was made with Malabrigo Caprino and used the entirety of both skeins. The DK was made with Stylecraft Special DK yarn and used approximately 220 yards.

The size is subject to change depending on your crochet tension and yarn/hook choices. The way it is designed, it allows for the addition of more rows (or fewer) to adjust to your head size.

This is an advanced beginner level pattern and includes a beginner’s guide on how to do mosaic crochet as well as a video tutorial!

The PDF pattern is written in U.S. terminology and includes the full written pattern in a row-by-row format, as well as the ticked graphs. Also included is a printer-friendly PDF that allows you to print only the necessities for the pattern.

Please note that different yarns, different tensions, and different hook sizes will all utilize a different amount of yarn. All yarn totals are included in the pattern. There are also estimations of yardage needed for DK or sport weight yarn.
