A Two-Colour Jumper with Diagonal Stripes
MATERIALS: 6oz. 3-ply super fingering in grey, 3oz. 3-ply super fingering in blue. Any other combination of colours may be chosen. 1 pair of No. 9 needles. 1 pair of No.. 10 needles.
MEASUREMENTS: All round underarms, 36in.; depth from shoulder, 21in.; length of sleeve seam, 18in.
STITCHES: The grey stripes and the sleeves are in moss stitch, 1 plain, 1 purl along one row and 1 purl 1 plain along the next, and the blue stripes are in stocking stitch, i.e., 1 row plain, 1 row purl. The wool is carried across the back of the knitting from stripe to stripe. The ribbing at the bottom of the jumper and the cuffs is 1 plain. 1 purl.
