A View from The Thames
or buy at Payhip or LoveCrafts
A View from The Thames is a further look at creating illusion knits of recognisable landmarks and joins The Great Pyramid as another such knit in the Woolly Thoughts collection of illusion knits.
The view is across the River Thames, looking towards Westminster Bridge and The Houses of Parliament.
Using DK yarn and 3 mm needles the illusion knit measures 84 cm by 58 cm (33 inches by 23 inches). It is intended to be used as a wall hanging or could be the centre for a throw or bedspread.
I used about 420 metres (460 yards) of Stylecraft Special DK in Midnight and Silver. Illusions work in any thickness of yarn.
The pattern has several versions of the chart including one intended for mobile devices.
