Saint Nicholas is a great friend to children! On December 5th children leave their shoes out overnight in front of the fireplace, or outside the bedroom door in anticipation of his coming. Saint Nicholas fills the shoes with special treats and leaves a touch of magic in the air.

Simple Construction
The doll is basically a decorated finger puppet, but with a pipe cleaner and bead up it’s middle instead of a finger!
The doll consists of a body, knit in the round from bottom to top, arms (one I-cord) knit in one piece and slid into position through arm holes, wooden bead head that stays in place with a pipe cleaner and yarn hair added with a tapestry needle. The cross on the hat is made with embroidery. They are much simpler than they look!

Praise for Saint Nicholas

Used bits left over from my stash. Was surprised how fast a knit it was. (munciebard)
