A large square, which will work perfectly as the centre of a project, with smaller squares added, to give any size you like. Or, for less joining, simply add extra rounds, and go as large as you like.

? 24” Afghan Square
Using worsted/Aran weight Yarn with a 5.5mm hook.
Approx. 630 meters/710 yards of yarn needed.

I used Caron Simply Soft in: Taupe, Bone, Victorian Rose, Lavender Blue and Sage.

? 20” Afghan Square
Using Double Knitting and 4mm hook.
Approx. 515 meters/ 560 yards of yarn needed.

I used Stylecraft Special Double Knitting in: White, Candyfloss, Fiesta, Citron, Grass Green, Sherbert, Turquoise, Empire, Wisteria, and Lobelia.

These squares can make fantastic scrap projects, with different colours in every round.
You can use just one or two colours, or you can go crazy with all the colours of the rainbow.

You have the option of a full photo tutorial or a written pattern, with just a small photo, for those of you who prefer to print your patterns.
