Pattern uses 4 colors of fingering yarn that will felt - it was written for Cherub fingering weight yarn which is 200 yards per skein, but it looks like you can knit several pairs of mittens with 4 200 yards skeins.

Pattern construction are individual blocks (diamond shapes, that are joined together. The thumb construction is interesting - you omit one of the blocks and pick up stitches around the missing block to knit the thumb.

Finish mittens are felted/fulled.
