A Weekend’s Work

This hat is a quick knit, done in a weekend!
You cast on, with either a traditional or a provisional cast on. When you have finished the brim, knit it together, and turn your work inside out to avoid a lot of purling. The body of the hat and the decrease at the crown are both knit from the wrong side.
The vertical stripes are unevenly spaced, making this an interesting knit. They are created by slipped stitches. Make sure you keep the yarn at the front of the work (the inside of the hat) when you slip your stitches.

The hat has a double brim, thus it is very nice and warm. If you choose to knit the longer version, you can fold the brim once more, making it super warm and cozy.
