Ever since watching the cartoons of ‘The Ant and the Aardvark’ as a kid, I’ve loved aardvarks, because they are such alien-looking and adorable animals.
Therefore, I’ve decided to design the rather weird looking -but super cute - aardvark as a toy with very mischievous eyes!
This knit is an easy project and the resulting toy is suitable for kids (and adults ) of all ages!

It measures 23 cm end and it is an easy knit. The aardvark is knitted on double pointed needles. The knit asks for some minor intarsia color work and loop stitches (which are explained in the pattern.

This aardvark was knitted on 2.75 mm double pointed needles (UK 12, US 2) in Lana Grossa Baby Soft (13) rose and Lana Grossa Mohairlana (13) black brown.

Not merely the colors, but also the textures can vary between your chosen yarns. Try using a soft yarn for the base, so the toy turns out really huggable!
