Beautiful and cozy, with a gorgeous panel of stitches reminiscent of Columbine buds, this little hat is lovely enough to keep or gift. The patterning is just enough without being overwhelming, while the Italian Cast On and twisted-rib brim give a thoroughly polished look.
This hat is worked from the brim up starting with an Italian Cast On (also called the Italian Tubular Cast On). This is one of the simplest ways to work a tubular cast on for 1x1 ribbing, giving a beautiful professional finish with no need for a provisional cast on. A video tutorial AND full written instructions are provided.
