First you knit the centre square flat. Then you pick up stitches from the yarn over loops and knit in the round. After you have finished the centre part, you will put half of the stitches on hold and knit one end form the centre to the tip. Next you transfer the held stitches onto needles and knit the second half of the shawl.

Yarn

You will need three skeins of WoolWomen Merino Sock (75% Merino, 25% Nylon), 425 m/ 465 yds per 100 g, in three colours, MC pink, C1 white and C2 yellow.

The sample shawl used 100g of MC, 95 g of C1 and 70 g of C2. There is an option to use C2 instead of MC in Section 8 if you are unsure if you will have enough MC.

3.75 mm / US 5 circular or straight needles

Gauge

20 sts x 32 rows = 10 x 10 cm / 4 x 4 inches in stockinette st after blocking

Huivi aloitetaan neulomaan keskeltä tasona. Neliön reunoilta poimitaan silmukat ja keskiosaa neulotaan pyörönä. Seuraavaksi puolet silmukoista siirretään apulangalle ja huivin pää neulotaan keskeltä kärkeen. Toinen puoli neulotaan samoin.
